Adding efficiency policies

You can use System Manager to add efficiency policies to run the deduplication operation on a volume for a specific time and to specify the job schedule.

Steps

1.	From the home page, double-click the appropriate storage system.

2.	Expand the Storage Virtual Machines hierarchy in the left navigation pane.

3.	In the navigation pane, select the Storage Virtual Machine (SVM) and click Policies > Efficiency Policies.

4.	Click Add and specify the policy name.

5.	Select the schedule.

You can specify the maximum run-time duration of the efficiency policy, if required. System Manager allows efficiency policies only with time-based schedules.

6.	Click Add.
